gav05
Hi all I'm after some advice. I shoot a Winchester sx3 for pigeon and crow but iv owned it a year and used it 6 times. Great gun just impulse buy. and I use to shoot a old master sbs non ejector 25" barrel for game. I need to px my sx3 as my master is now broken beyond repair!! And I can't afford a new gun with out px so ill be putting the sx3 on gun watch Monday. To get to the point I'm after a one gun outfit o/u m/c l/h 28"-30" barrels so mainly game and pigeon shooting roosting and in hide. I've been looking and I'm thinking a new betinsoli diamond deluxe mk3 side plate 28" m/c oh and the had part left hander although the sx3 is a right but it was adjustable. Or I have seen a 2nd hand Winchester select that is nice and fit feels good. I'm looking at getting £600 ish trade in. plus adding some cash I'd appreciate any recommendations. Thanks regards gav05. Gordon R
Don't buy either of the guns you mention. New Bettinsoli is money down the drain - I would not recommend a used one. The Select is not the best Winchester - that would be the 101. Buy a used Miroku or Beretta. Well made and built to last.
Scully
If you like the fit and feel of the Winchester,I would opt for a second hand Browning/Miroku or Lanber Sporting DeLuxe.Although the Lanber is a very good value gun for the money,it doesn't have the same prestige and therefore resale value of the Browning/Miroku. I wouldn't choose the Bettinsoli or Select either, but if they are your only options, then it would be the Winchester.
welshwarrior
Again I would avoid both those guns and look at at browning beretta miruko as the resale value will be much better.
