Either wold be in syntetic stainless, the .270 will be just for deer mainly from high seats and the .22.250 for foxing from landrover/quad bike at night these are the 2 calibers i now have on my cert so just a discussion about the guns please, not the calibers Cheers FS
jimmyb79
I have the x-bolt in stainless .223. Love it. Love the dura-touch finish and it shot superbly out of the box. My friend who owns a T3 lite has shot it and really liked it too. Can't really o wrong with either though to be fair.

wymberley
Trigger weight could decide it if you like it at the lower end.
mick miller
But, as I have now found out, a trip to a gunsmiths and £30 gets the trigger sorted to your preference. Then you have a brilliant rifle representing value for money.
Fib new
Tikka T3 for the 22-250. For the 270 either woud be fine.
njc110381
A friend of mine had a T3 lite in .270 and it kicked like a mule. Having said that the Browning is a light gun too so I can see it being the same. I've got the older A-Bolt in .223 and can't fault it for the money. The trigger is pretty good, it's accurate and has never given me any problems. Likewise the Tikka is a nice gun. I would most likely have the Tikka in .270, but what is the action length of the .22-250 Browning? It's a huge bolt on the T3 for a short round and the smaller action on my A-Bolt is nice for the smaller round.
kent
Pretty much of a muchness. I should just buy the same gun in both calibres that's just because familularity of the tool helps
Pastiebap
Both good rifles, my personal preference is the Browning. Go and have a look at both and see which suits you, you won't go wrong whichever you choose.

mick miller
Now, that little titbit is going to give Tikka a hard time. Do you happen to know if it applies to all calibres? Cheers. Can't see why not, assuming the same trigger mech throughout the range. It's just a case of fitting a lighter spring, which on a CZ452 there are kits for, but with the X-Bolt I can only find one chap in the States selling them and he's not prepared to ship. Also, with such a large calibre as .243, I would be happier paying the £30 or so to have a gunsmith fit the part and make the necessary adjustments rather than try to cut coils and stretch springs as this never provides a satisfactory outcome in my experience.
