hi going to move my gun safe out of the loft to a bed room downstairs ,reason guns are getting rust spots on them.

will be bolted to an internal block wall.

question is does it have to be in a cupboard out of site ,or can I just fix it to the wall in the corner of the room in full view.

cheers neill.

not sure about block walls I was always told had to be brick as blocks are to soft

Depends if they are concrete blocks or thermalite type blocks. Concrete blocks are able to hold bolts just as good as brick but thermal blocks may require different fixings such as chemical anchors. Some FEO's will pass thermal blocks but some may not.

cheers guys ,concrete blocks are fine ,just wanted to no if it has to be out of site ,as the wardrobes are not built in so would have to cut a hole in the side ,put the safe through the hole then bolt to the wall .hassle. when I can just bolt it to the wall next to the wardrobe in the corner .
