il cacciatore
Anyone used them? I'm after a cheap clay cartridge (sporting) and was looking at 1000 for £95.00 of eurotrap 28g 7.5s http://www.saga.es/ They any good? Or can someone recommend a place to buy carts in bulk at good prices? Cheers.

il cacciatore
Just wondering, what didn't you like about them?
dazzyboi
Just wondering, what didn't you like about them? Just had lower scores with them, maybe they dont pattern as well as other carts. Left quite abit of **** in my barrels too. Then again, that maybe down to me having a bad day and being fussy..Dont take my word for it, im one of these people who abides by good brand name ammo... :o
Cranfield
"SAGA ammo" ?? Is that special cartridges for the over 50's ?
il cacciatore
:o I'm trying to see past the **** name cause it appears to be a bargain price wise. Done abit more research and they get an alright review from there: http://www.clayshooting.co.uk/13.html For shooters on a budget, the Eurotrap line offers solid performance at an attractive price and will sell well on the basis of that price alone. Maybe I'll get a few boxes to try them out...

Maybe I'll get a few boxes to try them out... I use SAGA 32gm 6's all the time. The recoil is a bit harsh (but no problems in a semi). They do the business. :o
farmerguy.22
Been using SAGA Export 32g 6's of late as i have been unable to get any Gamebore clearpigeon. Dont get on with them aswell as i did the gamebore's! I Will be trying another cartridge next time around.
njc110381
I use SAGA skeet carts all the time at my local club, as they are the only ones they stock. Have never had a misfire, and some of the better shots there seem to score well enough with them. I'm going to be buying 1000 Eley olympic trap soon, but only because I like them too and can get them cheaper! I can think of a lot worse you could buy (D&J........ahem )
starlight32
I am have been using the saga 7.5on clays and I have found them alright. Also been using their 36g game load, they ae good as well.
tiercel
I use Saga 28G 6's for pigeon and I really lke them. My kill to hit ratio went up, less recoil. Would def recommend them. There is another thread about them in Guns and cartridges. http://forums.pigeonwatch.co.uk/forums/ind...340&hl=saga

il cacciatore
Cheers for the link TC - don't know why I couldn't find that when I done a search for saga I'm probably going to buy a 1000 of them to start cause the carts they sell at the clay club might be alright though I had 3 misfires in a carton of 25! (Those are Clever Mirage 7.5 28g carts) and they are much more expensive 14p ea compared with the Sagas. Looking for a good rough shooting cart too (pigeon, rabbit, crow) with fibre wad. Impax
I bought 500 28g no. 7 Export fibre two years ago after reading how good they were...... I still have 100 left..... 4 misfires in 400 cartridges using 3 different guns! I cut open a few and the contents particularly the shot appeared low quality. Although I will say when using on Game or Pigeon they did kill well! I would not buy any more though. Regards, Impax.
