big bad lindz Posted September 30, 2013 Report Share Posted September 30, 2013 Ady, I used to have the JP waterproof trousers but I found them to warm and I was sweating the ballocks off after a walk down to the shore . I also did not find them very waterproof would only shed water in a shower and if you were sitting down then the water just went through so I just use overtrousers. geth25182889 Posted October 4, 2013 Report Share Posted October 4, 2013 army issued goretex is awesome. im lucky because im actually issued it. the new mtp camo pattern is fantastic and blends in with the marsh a lot better than the old green dpm or desert camo did. if you couple the trousers with decent full leather walking/patrol boots and army issued gaiters then you can do away with waders as the whole system is completely water tight but at the same time 100% breathable.
