Pigeon decoy paint?

if it helps , here's what I did....

go to Homebase / B&Q type places and look for the "tester" small pots of MATT paints.

you can normally get them cheap and if you buy a black and two grey's you can mix them so you get the different shades for the bird.

for the white collar I normally use tippex but obviously white paint would do.

 

I use shell decoys so it's important to use matt paint to prevent the "shine" that you get with them.

Last time I painted them , I think it cost me about £6 or £7 to do about 16/18 shells.

Gret Primer Spray can!

I used to use primer paint but one lot had an adverse reaction between cellulose based paint and the flocking causing it to bubble and peel. I may well have overloaded it. Now I use Daler Rowney Graduate Acrylic paints.
