sitsinhedges
Why does 'S' mean it's steel proof? Mine wasn't. I thought a gun that was steel proof was stamped as such on the barrels and carried the fleur de lys proof mark.
Whatmuff
I have one of these, absolute beauty! I thought the S means sporter?

armourer
for a gun to use steel loaded cartridges a Fleur-de-lys is stamped on the barrels as is pointed out above that is also my understanding ,an i would have thought that in the Beretta it means sporting
rimmie
I had one of these, I'm pretty sure the S is for special. These are 3-1/2" chamber steel shot proof.

I've just checked and yes, this is 3 1/2" steel proofed as it's stamped in those words on the barrel. The S cannot mean sporter as it is an auto on safety.
