Alan Maughan
As the title says guys Im having trouble with my new gun, 10 days old from new. With my plastic 5 round mag filled, the first 4 rounds will cycle then the last one will sit out of the mag a touch higher so when the bolt pushes forward the round jams at the top of the breach. If I load 3 rounds again it happens, when I load a single round it rarely happens, if at all. It doesnt matter if the bolt is cycled fast or slow and the problem is the same with 5 different types of ammo. It really seems to be that for some reason the last round wont cycle regardless of how many are loaded unless its only one. Anyone got any ideas other than send it back? I know I can send it back and Edgar Bros will sort it but I dont want to be without the gun right now for 10 days if its an easy/quick fix. Thanks in advance for any help. Have you been cleaning your magazine and put your spring in the wrong way around? Or the spring could have been put in the wrong way around from new. I had exactly the same problem and changed the spring around and it fixed it straight away. The spring pushed too much from one direction if its the wrong way around. Olliesims
Ive tried the spring both ways but what way is the right way? Thanks but at present I dont have another mag, I lose my spare the day after I got the gun What is the problem with the lip? And did this problem start after you lost The spare mag? It sounds to me you have the wrong magazine, a cz452 mag will not work in a 455 it will push in but its a slightly different shape to the 455 mag, had the same problem with my .17 455 when I bought a 452 mag and stuck it in
Alan Maughan
I still have the original mag the gun came with, I lost the aftermarket one.

Alan Maughan
Thanks BSA, no need for that as I can pop down to the retailers tomorrow and try one. Im trying to get to the bottom of the problem, surely it must be fixable?
BSA-airgunner
I don't know the 455 as I have the 452 sweet as as nut and a Brno 511 both will cycle all day...so fingers crossed and new mag will sort it. sirgoldalot
sounds like spring problem maybe to high in the mag at one end nothing to worry about its not a gun fault if the other loads load Edited October 20, 2013 by sirgoldalot
Luckyshot
Daft question but did the last round jam when you used the aftermarket mag aswell ? if so, doubt it is a mag fault on both mags.
Muddy Funker
It's funny because my old HW60 does this with the 1st round pretty much every time!! Frustrating.
arjimlad
Could the mag follower be in back to front ?
bicykillgaz
Is the mag really tight when you push it in and are you hearing the click of it snapping in place? If it's tight try slackening off your trigger guard screws little till the mag goes in and out freely and re tighten. Then try ejecting them. I had a similar problem when I replaced my trigger guard with an aftermarket one, and tightened it with no mag in. It was pinching the mag causing feed issues. Alan Maughan
Thanks for your input guys, it was a mag fault. I visited my retailer today after speaking with Edgar Bros who suggested I tried a different mag, this cured things immediately.
