Underdog
On two counts! Ran out of shells! Second disaster was they (the shells) don't work in this gun! 25 shots for 2 pheasants and 2 pigeon and 2 crows! Plucking feathers nearly every bird! Oh,well.... U. Underdog
I dont think anything is wrong in fact I like these shells...they are the Hull three crowns paper hulled. I have never tried them in this gun. This Holloway ejector is nice to carry and it works well with Hull Imperial game but today I thought of trying the paper cased version in 7s and if it was much past 25yds it was struggling. Lol... I wish I had come out with the frontstuffer at these distances!

worthy130
7's is a bit light for game isn't it?
karpman
7's is a bit light for game isn't it? At the right distance like anything else they will stop anything you care to point them at. I have some 7's classic partridge. But let's not turn this into a shot size debate. Always fancied a front stuffer but not sure I have the time etc. I don't clean my guns an much to be honest lol. Quite fancy the single hammer gun in the sales section mind. Karpman
Underdog
7 is my favourite size in fact my highest pheasant came down to 7s and from a muzzleloader! Dont ever fret over cleaning a muzzle loader guys. It's a doddle but hey you dont have to clean it every time you use it. I used mine for weeks on pigeon and never cleaned it. Just coated inside and out with olive oil. And then a full clean was only dictated by the bad leading in one barrel and a reluctance to fire. 15minutes with water job done.
