Penelope
Bob James is a bit of a cad. Drummed out of the ACA before it became the Anglers Trust for financial irregularities I believe. He used to annoy with holding the fush oot of water for about 5 minutes and then say, right then, lets get this fish straight back? Bob and Chris were pretty good watching too and i seem to remember Bob started porking the others missus and that led to the split i think. Guest rimotu66
Back on subject, I quite like Tarrants show, also enjoy Robsons as well, both are very enthuiastic which comes through in the shows I think, its a shame we cant get a mainstream series about shooting isnt it. Nobson behaves like a spoilt child...when he first started he couldn't even cast, he now can sort of cast. He swears far too much and is too stroppy. I am hugely jealous of him of all of the amazing places he gets to mess up fishing in - watch carefully and you will see he rarely lands a fish on the same rod that you saw him cast. Dunkield
I am very tolerant of most people but I physically cannot watch more then 2-3 minutes of Robson before switching off. I watched the Tarrant Yukon program and thought it was pretty good. Only problem is I really want to go there now, and have feeling it will cost an absolute fortune :(
twitchynik
Pretty good in the Yukon?! Looked amazing and hearing them talk about the silence and wildlife had me wanting to go just for that. Then when he pulled up that massive Char.... Maybe Frank (or those crazy Cannucks from last year) have some contacts? Still won't be cheap, travel alone I suspect will be eye watering. Dunkield
I have a good friend out in Cuba atm Nik, he is scoping it out for himself, and having spent a bomb on tackle for future trips as well. Essentially if it half as good as he been told he will be going back, and it isn't expensive at all. He has a Gopro so I will forward the links to any footage if your are interested. And yes, the Cannucks have already mentioned going to the Yukon for the Elk and fishing
Dufty
I found episode 1 rather distasteful (a bit like Robson but without the Geordie charm). Episode 2 however was infinitely more watchable, especially his tale about the 47,5 lber. Not a patch on The Compleat Angler though
Penelope
I will agree, that despite my disparaging comments after the first episode, it has improved. strangford wildfowler
They are. Although they are still a browny, even sea trout are brownies, just an anadromous form. Or in other words sea trout are sea run brown trout and they are extremely hard to catch from the shore.
