pigeon-hunter
If you want a gun which looks nice and you'll get your money back on in 5 years then buy a Beretta. If you want something which wont matter if it gets dropped, covered in mud etc buy a Hatsan. I have a Hatsan and it always works faultlessly. I agree this gun is purely for me to sit in a field with I have my silver pigeon for clays, I've actually found a lanber for £195 for the money think that would be just what I need. A cheap gun where I'm not going to worry about getting it that dirty Edited November 23, 2013 by pigeon-hunter
Simon123
I have a Hatsan the, 1st edition (as my first semi auto) and have shot 100's of shot's through it without any hickup, i also have 4 other friend who have some aswell, which have been used without any hickups what so ever. However if i was to buy another semi auto i think i would go for a winchester sx3 or a Browning Maxus, rather than buying another Hatsan (fantastic gun for the field especially for the money asking for them). Personally dont like beretta semis, as the safety button is in front of the trigger, but i suppose that it's something to get used to, fantastic semi's though. With your budget i would recomend you to look for something similar to a Beretta 303, 390, 391. Winchester Sx2 or SX3 (if you'll find one within your budget), Franchi raptor 712, 612, or FAST. Remington 11-87. All of thse guns would be sutable for you and very usable and reliable. You should choose a gun that fits you and if possibly shoot as many shots out of the gun to test it before buying
pigeon-hunter
I'm going to look at a lamber on mon its only £195 I think this for the moment will do for me. When it comes to hatsan I think there are too many no's and yes'es for my liking, if I get on with the semi auto I will save for the gun I want a beretta 400 @ £1300 that's the one I want. That next yr I can lose from the missis
GingerCat
My lanber has been faultless, for the money they are great guns. In fact for twice the money they are still good value in my eyes.

Shot about 30 cartridges threw it there 21g 26g 28g 30g. And it cycled them all without a hiccup really nice gun great condition, thought I was quite lucky to get it that cheap. Il be taking it out in 2 weeks for a day on the pigeons (pigeons pending) il whack a few cartridges threw it.

Bewsher500
i just bought a hatsan second hand battered and abused as I intend to use it. I wanted something agricultural after stripping it right down and clean half an estuary out of it I went to the clay ground and put couple of hundred shots through it in a range of 28-30 65-70mm shells We all know it will eat 3" 34's all day long but it apparently won't feed shorter lighter cartridges I did get a couple of misfeeds on 65mm 28's but TBH thats not what I will be putting through it everything else went through faultlessly time will tell but you could argue they are always up for sale, you could also argue they always sell and for not much less than they do new for a painted steel and plastic gun it does what I need it too

I even mixed them up, The gun itself is a 2003 model and it's in great condition, and I only payed £195, bargain.
