kennett
Looking at a new winchester sxp, with the intention of using it for foreshore wildfowling, basically because its half the price of a semi! Does anybody have experience of using them.on the foreshore? Apart from looking a bit wildwest do they handle mud and grit or does the slide jam up? Cheers
fenboy
Not used one myself but they are suppose to be a decent gun for the money I believe some people have problems as they are quite short in the stock and dont come with spacers . Guest cookoff013
pumps are great, before you use it on the foreshore. put 1000 or so shells through it. just to get used to the firing loading cycle. the amount of times that gets people out who dont normally use a pump is unreal. its just practice. also get used to stripping it down and cleaning it out. Big Mat
Keep the slide clean and it'll be fine. Plenty of pumps get used on the foreshore. If you are getting enough mud on the slide then you are either treating it very rough or a very clumsy! It might even be a little more reliable than a semi. Personally i won't have a semi or pump for the foreshore when i get another gun, but thats just me.
