shawn9914
Hi All I am thinking of getting my 12 year old son into shooting as he seems interested so thought I would get him an air rifle to use when I am with him the thing is he is left handed and when I told him to hold my gun he put it straight up to his left shoulder I then asked him to try it on his right shoulder and he said it did not feel right. I then did the test to see which is his dominant eye and it is his left eye so it all fits into place that he needs either a left handed or ambidextrous stock so my question is what would be the best ambidextrous air rifle to get him I would like it to be multi-shot and pre charged was thinking of a decent quality 2nd hand unit, I have looked at the BSA Ultra Multishot as its nice and light and he is only small for his age and he said my rimfire was heavy to hold your recommendations please thanks shawn
secretagentmole
The Air Arms S200 is also good for the smaller shooter. Brocock Contour too!
timmytree
Avoid the MMC cocking system, that may be a bit faffy for a youngster. Have a look at the AA/CZ 200 as well, slightly better shot count and well built.

johnlewis
RWS LR20 universal bolt can be switched from right to left in a moment
NIGHT SEARCHER
Tidy LH TX200 on gun watch, quite heavy but very accurate springer..... For a 12 year old. Some adults find the TX200 to heavy. AirArms S200. Falcon FN 12 or FN19. Brocock Contour. All light and very Accurate. The BSA Ultra has a poor shot count and the MMC cocking is a load of ****. secretagentmole
The Ultra SE is different mechanism with a rear bolt, still has a shot count that is on the low side though!

pabs
looking at the air arms s410f carbide any thoughts on this model May be a little heavy for him if he's a wee Chap. You won't go wrong with an AirArms S200 as previously said. As accurate as any other AirArms rifle, short pull and light.
Russ63
I'd go Ultra SE or Brocock Contour if he's on the small side.
