35 years now that's a sentence

Maybe so but the scumbag doesn't deserve the right for a retrial, apparently it was (2005) the first case in the country where his past convictions was known to the jury before his verdict was decided. It doesn't give me much confidence in a sentence of 35 years being served.

So no one ever deserves to have new evidence heard?

I don't see the relevance of the rest of what you are saying. What has the nature of the original trial got to do with anything?

It simply means you cant rely on the guilty doing the time imposed on them.

New evidence is fine but to use being an Alcoholic as an excuse doesn't cut it with me I'm afraid.

:good: of course serious new evidence should be heard in any case where someones in prison but the old im a drunk bull****s is a old one and not even worth 1 min of the courts time

  • 10 months later...

Being the curious type I just googled this, I didn't realise summary statements are published online.

Basically, I didn't get past the first few paragraphs. This evil scumbag and the **** mothers who assisted him have no place in society, now, in 35 years or indeed ever.

To say their crimes are the worst imaginable is an understatement; I couldn't have imagined anything even remotely close to this taking place.

If everyone in the UK was forced to read the true details of this case from this summary statement I believe we would have a death penalty reinstated by the end of the month.

It was posted on a Boxing forum a couple of days ago and it said it was leaked but nay 100% if that was true.

Read it all and hard to digest, especially the messages from the mothers too.

It wasn't leaked, it appears some/all documents of this sort are published by the state.

I found it here: http://www.judiciary.gov.uk

Very interesting site actually, search functionality is good, just reading the summary of Andy Coulson's sentencing.

As for Queen versus Watkins... my advice would be don't read it if you have kids and want to be able to sleep at night.
