rabbiter
just bought one of these to use with my cobra merlin, took it out tonight to shoot some rats in a big chicken shed, the shed is around 80 yds long,i attached the cobra and nm800ir to my scope(simmons 6-18x40) switched on,and to say i was gutted is an understatement,i could only see about 10 yds at best...could it be the scope?,i focused the nm800,i focused the scope and i focused the cobra, and absolute rubbish view, any ideas,am i doing something wrong?..........DAZ

steve_b_wales
Although I have'nt 'used' my Cobra Merlin & NiteSearcher with IR, I have looked through the Cobra with the NS switched on, and I could see for around 50 yards. This was from my back garden with street lights on, so not a proper test. I hope that it works correctly. When I had a Cobra Merlin a few years ago, I had a Blaserlite lamp with IR filter as my extra infrared source. This enabled me to see for approx 200+yards. Gimlet
Three different power settings too. I find low is not enough on my Pulsar N550 for .22 rabbit shooting. I use medium. High is too much.
