lewis11
Hi all, I've recently got a New Beretta Silver Pigeon 1 and after being exposed to the weather the stock is fading. Please can you recommend me an oil to bring its shine back and protect it/waterproof it. Please give exact make of the oil and where i can get it from thanks in advance
TIGHTCHOKE
I've always used CCL Gunstock Oil on my Berettas!
lewis11
TIGHTCHOKE, I have just looked it up. Do you just simply rub it into the stock?
welshwarrior
Trade Secret oil or Napier London stock oil are good but the Trade Secret Burnishing cream is better for what you want.
TIGHTCHOKE
TIGHTCHOKE, I have just looked it up. Do you just simply rub it into the stock? Yes, little and as often as you want. The warmth of your hand helps it sink in.
lewis11
Thanks Tightchoke, I may try your advice-Thanks Welshwarrior, does this give the stock a shine as well as waterproofing? thanks
welshwarrior
It won't make a Matt stock gloss but it will return the lustre and waterproof the stock well.

gazbev
I have the same problem with my SPig mine was full of oil it just went a bit dull when wet. The best advice I had was make sure it's dry and buy trade secret stock wax and unfollow the instructions. To be honest it's the same as beeswax fur nature polish

welshwarrior
Is that the 'Trade Secret wax polish'? did this help it against water and stop it fading? It will the burnishing cream will remove the water marks as well but is mostly their stock wax.
