Malik
I have an A bar fitted to my truck and i think i can see what appears to be the start of rust. Its predominantly around the 'joints' of the bar. As they are extremely rare to find after the EU ban of company sale and manufacture in the EU. I was wondering if there is a way to protect them and remove any rust. I should state, the rust spots are quite small. I just dont want it to spread into a big problem... NIGHT SEARCHER
Solvol Autosol chrome polish. Then where the welds are smear clean engine oil or light grease to keep water of it. Aspecially through Winter. Or just spray it with WD 40 and wipe it down once a week. Yes it is rusting at the welded joints. Just do has above it will last for years. NIGHT SEARCHER
Most car parts shops should stock Solvol Autosol it`s magic stuff. I used it on chrome motor bike Wheels. Exhaust. Tanks. Forks. For years. Has for a clear grease that won`t stick out like a sore finger. LM Grease. Again most car parts shops will have LM grease. I have looked on Ebay Solvol Autosol £3.67 free p&p. Loads of LM grease on there. You could use Chain Wax Lube Grease it`s clear. Even Vaseline would repel water and protect the chrome and it`s clear. £1.65 a 100ml tub free P&P ebay.
