greylag1
just back,4 and half hour trip took 11 hours.f@@@@@g car. but thats the bad bit.had a good week.the weather wa a bit of a let down, dispite forecast giving out strong winds nearly every day it didnt really happen, friday and saturday being the exception when you had a job standing up!! ended up with 8 pinks, the hit ratio was going ok till friday when it went tits up just cauld not catch them in the wind.fantastic last 2 days to the week, rain stinging your face and birds past you before you can get the gun on them, back up again in 2 weeks for the end of the season.cant wait

shakin stevens
That's very good shooting greylag1 to get 8 pinks for the week off the shore at wigtown bay, sometimes can be very high round that way.

greylag1
the weather is spot on but the tides are huge biggest iv seen there in 30 years.plenty of birds there but they are sticking to the innerwell end which is never good.i spent the week chasing odd groups rather than the big lots.barnacles are becoming a real problem, they are now in with the pinks so ur letting stuff go over because you cant be 100% sure.must be well over a 1000 of the bloody things on the bay
