kev56
Just wondering about what will happen when / if lead is totally banned in the future. Not too worried on a personal front as i'm knocking on a bit and i have a couple of modernist guns capable of handling steel. If it does come about i assume there will be countless guns made obsolete, and what will happen to the beautifull old side by sides esp. the best english. Just thinking. Big Mat
There are other non toxics which are suitable for the older guns, but they come at a price. The price is not only dictated by the small demand at the moment, but also the high cost of the components, ie tungsten.
V8 90
I've been thinking about this subject too as I'm thinking of buying an good "older" quality shotgun for claying & pigeon shooting

Scully
I doubt it will effect those who can afford to pay 30 odd quid per bird plus VAT. But yes, those who can't afford to put the the more expensive non toxic shot through their 'best' guns may find their shooting curtailed somewhat. poontang
It's not just shotgun ammunition that's at risk. Lead bullets and airgun pellets are on the agenda too. Thank God the Countryside Alliance, BASC and the CPSA are on the case.
