My F3 is currently having its annual service and I won't be getting it back in time.

However, I have a veritable arsenal to choose from and with which to dispense the required thrashing.

Thats what I like to see, the excuses being made already :P

I've just picked my newly cast gun up and it's like picking up a Sandwedge. If I can't hit anyhting with it shooting it, I'll just turn it around and smack the cartridges at the clays :P

Seriously though, it feels much better when mounting it now. Right eye looks right along the Rib with head more or less upright and not at all canted over the comb :P

Glad you're able to make it LB, looking forward to the day even more so now.

The craic will be superb, the BS will flow and oh yeah we'll hit some of those black/orange/white clay/chalk/pitch round disc shaped flying Pigeons/Targets/inanimate objects. (Please delete those words not applicable to those of you who feel that any of the above descriptive words might prove to be too gruesome or have association with real men's shooting of live quarry :angry::angry:

LB, No need to start that early Tuesday will suffice.

8am at mine for bacon/sausage butties.

Brian

Sounds good mate, right all round BTMS for brekkie then on to the clay ground.

I noticed that food is served at the ground from 11.00am - 3.00pm, ground open from 10.00am - 17.00pm. So the 9.30-10am meet still holds good.

Hopefully the weather will be better than it has for this weekend. Rain, wind, more rain  Only five days to go now.

LB, reference the rant to CPSA name change

SS

Is it a white onyx? They are superb, it is one of those very guns I shall be using at Lakenheath to deal out a sound thrashing to you all

I have just read the numbers on it and it's a 682 Gold E, not a 686; well they all start with 68 and give or take some poncy engraving.... Anyway, shot it today and it'll do nicely for me. Very pointable.

Matt aka "LouisValentine" will be coming with me from Brentwood on Friday morning. Anyone wanting a lift up or along the A12, let me know.

P.S.

Are we "booked in" or the like for the day's shooting i.e. do they know we are coming / have they made provision for 20 bodies shooting all day who normally wouldn't be there - if they run out of bacon there will be murders.

P.P.S.

Have cut and paste this into the Lakenheath thread. Apologies for any confusion.

Nope, we aren't booked in as they wanted to charge us £80 for two hundred clays and breakfast

All the same I will phone up tomorrow and let them know, that you want a truck load of fresh pigs put on standby Mungler

I'm really looking forward to it all, should be a good laugh at the very least. Went and got 500 cartridges yesterday, so shouldn't run out, if I do I'll keep another 200 or so in the car just in case

I went pigeon shooting to look at some nice pigeons flying anywhere but where I was on Saturday  Nothing much in the way of sharpening me up, the one woody I did shoot was blind and didn't see me sat under his tree as he came into land

So, since I have had no practice I will wheel out the old faithful "I have only been shooting 9 months" chestnut

Don't bother in answering my e-mail Pin as I see you are in attendance this weekend :good:

I am gonna bring the motor up for you to look around it.

I don't care what the weather will be like Pin as I am staying with BTMS :good: Although I am a bit worried.

I recieved an account a couple of years ago from YP regarding the meet/charity/****-up in Yorkshire with Ernyha and co. I am in for a night of alcohol poisoning :good: I realise that this may not be the best course of action when going to shoot a few hundred clays the following day and I am guessing, no, I know, I will be in bad a state. In fact I may shoot without defenders in a desparate attempt to wake up. No thats not an excuse for any bad scores as any member of PW will tell you I have trouble hitting a barn door from 5 yards. But what I do know is that I will be wearing a better dress than you :good: I spotted a nice floral number in the local 'scope' shop last weekend and mentioned it to the rottie over a latte or two in little Islington/Whitstable.

I do hope she got the hint :good:

No, thats not

Is this the right webby:

http://www.lctc.co.uk/

And is this the right address:

Lakenheath Clay Target Centre

Brandon Road

Eriswell

Brandon

Suffolk

IP27 9FB

Yes but whatever you do, don't put that postcode into your satnav/mapping software, it gives the wrong place. Basically the LCTC is on the A1065 about 2-300 yards (on the right) before the entrance to the airbase (on the left) if traveling up from Mildenhall direction.

I've marked the LCTC and the junction on this shared Map:

http://local.live.com/default.aspx?v=2&amp...8A6B3FC!130

You should be able to see the skeet areas and the stands in the woods, zoom out for a better idea of the location. Put the postcode in you have above and you'll see how far out it is !!!

Oh and I've just come down with conjunctivitis :good:, so even if I had my SGC and gun by now I couldn't make it.... sucks....

For your own safety DO NOT mistakenly pull up at the RAF Lakenheath gatehouse with a car full of guns...

The 'Septics' will shoot first........ :good:

Cheers for the map :good:

Shame you can't make it down, if you do feel up to it I am sure I wouldn't be the only one to offer the use of a gun for the proceedings.

It's only sore eyes, what could possibly go wrong :good::good:
