Ferretboy111
Either remington soft nose 55grn, or american eagles work well. Alex Too be honest i go for the cheapest more than anything.
Spook
Thanks for all the replys!! Tried remmington and Norma soft point so far, they both seem to group well and make a BIG mess of the things they hit!!
colin.y
i zero my .223 at 200 =shoot dead flat at 200yrds this is with 40grn v-max bullets reloaded in federal cases this will give you about 1inch high at 100 yrds so no problem there for normal shots . after about 250 yrds the bullet is dropping rapidlly so for 300 yrds i think it is a 5 inch drop zeroed at 200 i find this better because it is the mid range of the rifle and closer or further has a minimal impact on vertical variation. sammyboy
I use 55grain normas at £11 a box. There the most acurate through mine. But remember each rifle is different despite weather or not it is the same make and model. by loads of different weights and makes and just try them all out. be sure to weight a few minutes between each group of shots(3 normally)to let the barrel cool off! stevethevanman
A lot of people use V-MAX's for fox's.
JohnGalway
50gn Remington UMC as it groups the best for me so far, odd considering it's a 1 in 8 twist rifle Box of 20 costs 11 Euro. Zero at 100 yards... Not gonna say it... Doesn't much like the heavier or lighter bullets that I've tried.
EoinGalway
Zeroed @ 100yards but good to 200yards On the range I use Remington UMC FMJ 55gr For Hunting the Remington AccuTip 55gr (polymer-tipped bullet) Bothy have practically the same flight so no re-zeroing!!
