Normally the raffle is only open to attendees

This year may be different we will have to wait and see,

Some prizes in the past have been too big to do anything but collect on the day (Bagsy and his wood burning stove spring to mind)

There is at least 1 gun in this years (last year there were 2) so that would factor in RFD costs

Also the prizes are not generally numbered, it's a first picked first served basis.

Of course this year may be different, we won't know until Teal puts a notice up

i could not attend last year due to work, I messaged teal over buying raffle tickets from p/w.

But there was no way to do this,

I hope this does change as last year I would have bought some tickets,

The other thing is to get someone to buy them for you that is attending,

Or just place a small donation through gift aid that will be set up nearer the time :)

If memory serves, last year there were two raffles. 1 for none attendees (mainly offers of days out on peoples' permissions) and the main event for those there on the day.

The prizes on the day were fantastic, from a day stalking, walked up grouse, driven pheasant day, 2 shotguns, plus many many other fantastic offerings.

Personally I think the raffle should be for those on the day to help encourage more attendees. That said the second raffle last year did generate a fair amount.

i'm biassed for St Neots as it's less of a drive ;) but yeah there seems to be one in Wellingborough

There is also a travel lodge or premier inn in Thrapston, which is only 15 minutes away, if you're after something a bit nicer, you could try The Falcon pub, about 10 mins away...towards Bedford.

Plenty of decent pubs in Thrapston too.
