Actionpigeons
A friend Paul (PW member Budie) phoned me yesterday morning asking if he could come over for an afternoons shooting. He would finish work at lunch and be with me for 1.00pm, but would have to leave at 4.45pm to pick his Mrs up from work. No pressure on me then to get him to the shooting fields, set up and put birds in front of him. He arrived on time and we jumped in the 4x4 and off we went. On Tue when Highbird70 (mark) came over there was a second field not far from me that was holding a few birds, this was the field I had decided to take him too (Rape). It is not an easy field to shoot, as there is a foot path across it and only a cpl of places that you can safely shoot from. We set up and soon had birds coming into the pattern. The Book I am about to publish came out very quickly (101 reasons I missed) I used my favored excuse, No 18 “This is not my regular gun” and Paul put his No 22 into play “ I didn’t have the gun mounted properly” Never the less we had some nice shooting and managed a good number of birds in the three hrs we had to shoot. One thing for sure, it put a smile back on Paul's face as he was a little unhappy not being allowed out to play on Monday with myself and Hawk4Sport The two Labs are mother and daughter, the bitch on the left being mine and the mother. 06,03,14.
