The free things in life are the best

After the rain and hail stopped, I picked the lead up and me and the hound set off to walk to my mum's place in the next village.

The sun was out but it was cold and fresh. The walk is a mixture of village high street, fields and suburbia. Some great views as well.

It was great, been better if mrs & daughter had come but still good ...... and free.

Couldn't agree more. I took the chessie and the lab for a wee run out this afternoon with all three of my kids. It was ******* cold but all were well happed up. Flushed a couple of pheasants and got some clean air in the lungs. Well worth the effort of getting the dog trailer out

I do the same with my mum and she's 83, my dad died in 1991 but I still gave them a kiss goodbye and told them I loved them when I left the house when I lived at home, so glad I did, one Saturday I came back and he had died of a heart attack.

After a near fatal accident last October finally got rid of my tin sticks and took my little maid out for walk in the woods Sunday before last, in tremendous pain by the end and had a few tingly nose moments as my little girl kept cheering me on and pulling me up the steep by the hand when I was struggling yelling to everyone we met "MY DADDY CAN WALK AGAIN". Stood there at the end taking some photos as the sun set through the trees and really did have one of those best things in life are free moments. Wished I could've shared it with so many people but at the same time glad I had it all to myself.

Lovely story - hope it gets to be 'normal' soon.
