Nrees21
I recently got a second hand al391 teknys Stonecoat, there are two problems though, I can't get the pin out to drop the trigger mechanism, also the cut off lever doesn't lock the bolt back, I am lost, there doesn't seem to be much movement to the lever at all. Any advise would be much appreciated. Cheers, Nick
humperdingle
Have you tried popping the pin out from both sides? At the rear of the shell carrier plate, there is a tiny little 'button'. Press that and the bolt should stay back.
fenboy
Do not be afraid to give the pin a good tap with a hammer and suitable sized punch. There is not much to go wrong with the cut off unless there is a piece broken off.
Paul223
Yeah as said a button in front of trigger guard to hold the bolt back And a sharp tap for the pin
Greenhunter
I think the cut-off lever you refer to has nothing to do with the bolt. It is a magazine cut-off, stops the next shell being cycled so you can load a different weight of shot directly into the chamber. GH
Greenhunter
Just remembered....I have a spare instruction booklet if it would be any use to you. GH
Boogie
If you google "Beretta AL391 Manual" you will see a PDF of the manual - this might help? And a hammer....

Westley
The magazine cut off button is to allow you to remove the cartridge from the breech without having to empty the magazine. Using 2 snap caps and preferably outside (just in case you have the snap caps that go bang !). Load 1 snap cap into open breech, close breech. Load second snap cap into magazine. Now whilst pressing cut off button (use left hand from underneath gun) slide breech back. The chamber should clear, throwing snap cap out and the bolt should remain back. To reload, drop snap cap into open chamber and press cut off button to close. Of course if all else fails, read Instructions (on line)

Paul223
Otherwise yes the magazine cut off button does exactly that Allows the semi to be made safe without unloading the mag, the bolt closing on an empty chamber means that, once clear, nothing can mechanically go wrong like a cartridge jumping out the mag and the bolt closing on it.........
