tonker
I had a call from a farmer who said the black stuff was thick on some of his fields, and could I pay them a visit. So this morning I took a trip over there about a 45 min drive, expecting to find it crawling, glassed the field, and saw about 4 in 20 odd acres. (gutted). Anyway as I had made the effort I thought that I would set up in the far corner for a couple of hours and see what happened, They came in dribs and drabs, never many but believe it or not at intervals that made it very enjoyable. Time to take in the lovely scenic valley behind me, time to have a cup of tea, and time for crisps and cake. I could see the damage done, as I have tried to show you in the picture of the pattern that was growing slowly. I stayed for about three hours and didn't get much of a bag, but some is better than none. I ended up with 12 jackdaws, 5 crows and 2 rooks
