fenboy
After basically using the same magnet for the last 15 years its time for a replacement. My old one has been welded up a number of times and it is now falling to bits. So lots to choose from now days which one should I go for . motty
I would just go for a UKSW basic model. Mine is still going strong after several years and several thousand dead pigeons (and no welding required yet).
Dbw1shrops
Think mine is an original aa decoys magnet had it a fair few years now got it from the midland and although is not seen the same amount of action as mottys it's still going. The Essex Hunter
I make mine....However for weight and battery life using dead birds, I would bite the bullet and go for a pinewood pro.... TEH
fenboy
I make mine....However for weight and battery life using dead birds, I would bite the bullet and go for a pinewood pro.... TEH So would I but after the way I was messed around last time I ordered something off them I will never use them again. I have taken Mottys advice and ordered a UKSW one plus some arm extensions . my thinking is they might mistake my magnet for his and I might actually shoot some this year
JDog
I would have made a recommendation but I see that your mind was made up fairly quickly.

Yes I was already thinking about the UKSW one so Mottys recommendation sealed it , plus I wanted it here by Friday in case some pigeon turn up and I have to return to work on Saturday ! Out of interest what would you have suggested ?
Guest stevo
I make mine....However for weight and battery life using dead birds, I would bite the bullet and go for a pinewood pro.... TEH the pinewood pro is too juicy on the batterys . and is a bit heavier than the standard , a 12v 7amp bat will last 8-10 hrs on the standard , whereas you need two of the same bats to last 8 hrs if your lucky . goober
Does anyone use the three arm mega magnet? Haven't seen them advertised lately?

motty
Does anyone use the three arm mega magnet? Haven't seen them advertised lately? A mate of mine bought one a few years ago. Apart from the fact it was quite expensive,it had no real benefit over a standard magnet and was a very cumbersome piece of kit. He sold it fairly quickly.
