welsh1
Go and ask you mortgage company , solicitor or you dentist for discount or a freebie . Try getting it Halfords ,A Shell garage , Binns or Waterston's .I don't think you will be successful so why should you expect it from a gunshop . Point people forget that although its your hobby its their lively hood and some of us like to eat . Everything is up for negotiation, sometimes you get it sometimes you don't,most mortgage companies offer incentives to change to them, fuel companies offer loyalty cards to use their brand,i got a fiver knocked off a cooling box in halfords by being cheeky and asking, and my wife hates me shopping with her,if i think you can get a discount i will ask, tumble dryer £30 discount in comet, fridge £40 off in currys, a notebook and ipad in comet,no discount but got a £30 cover for the ipad and a neoprene cover£15 for the note book.i have had discounts on suits, guns, scopes etc. If you don't ask you don't know, just don't get disappointed when they say no,some will haggle some won't,and even if it is just 2-3 pounds be happy it is a discount. Haggling is an art,the more you do it the more you know the limits, and you know when to ask and when to not ask.some products that have been on display will give you a good discount, just check them over for cosmetic damage. compo90
The last post highlights "if you don't ask the answer will always be no!" All the posts from rfds on this thread state that they can't sell stock from the big importers, I recall years ago a sports shop that couldn't get contracts with reebok and adidas etc.. As he couldnt buy the quantities they insisted if he was to have a contract, he got around this by buying far more than he could sell in his little shop and selling the surplus on at cost to a market trader who promised to only trade a good distance from his shop......... Would the big importers sell to the smaller rfds as a collective?
BRNDL
They've probably been following this topic Good result in the end though My thoughts exactly. If I had a gun shop I would certainly follow the main forum based sites. It is a honey pot for free information!! Use it how you wish
Scottoj18
You sell a gun once, ammo you sell again and again. Chucking in a gun slip and a slab might knock £40 off your profit but they will be back again and again. Then word spreads that your a nice shop. A little goes a long way. Just what I think. Gunman
So if you boss come to you on a Friday night and says look I pay you £10,00 an hour , will you take £9,00 this week ? What do you say ? No but I'll work Saturday for nothing . I think not . So maybe your boss will look else ware for his labour to see if he can he can get it cheaper . Just a thought . Scottoj18
If tell my boss to """" off and get a new job. No one would work for him, then he would go out of business. All for being stubborn
