pmiddy
Like most cars/vans trucks/4x4s you get a good one and a bad one the only thing that's gone on my 03 plate navara are serviceable parts fingers crossed just in getting a new clutch lol paul
Elby
It's a common fault with them. no3 conrod bolts snap and bang goes the engine but the OP is asking for an 07 which would be the new shape and didn't have that problem. if you have an older Navara and it hasn't happened yet find out if the modifications have been done and if not get them done. Nissan did end up buying a lot of new engines for people after finally admitting a fault

Northern Gunner
Shouldn't have cost you anything My mate got £1600 out of Nissan when his went My 05 model went pop at 86,000 miles and was out of warranty but Nissan put in a new engine as a good will warranty and I didn't have to pay a penny!!!! The service was spot on and I have now got the D40 model on an 07 plate and had it for 2 years without any problems. With service like I received I would buy of Nissan again. Proudly
The D22 models were shocking but a mate says the D40's are not without their engine problems (his son works for a Navara repair specialist). Good motors once the engine mods have bern done
