It's a common fault with them.

no3 conrod bolts snap and bang goes the engine but the OP is asking for an 07 which would be the new shape and didn't have that problem.

if you have an older Navara and it hasn't happened yet find out if the modifications have been done and if not get them done.

Nissan did end up buying a lot of new engines for people after finally admitting a fault

Shouldn't have cost you anything

My mate got £1600 out of Nissan when his went

My 05 model went pop at 86,000 miles and was out of warranty but Nissan put in a new engine as a good will warranty and I didn't have to pay a penny!!!! The service was spot on and I have now got the D40 model on an 07 plate and had it for 2 years without any problems.

With service like I received I would buy of Nissan again.
