As there appears to be a fair splattering of essex bods in these forums it would be a laugh to meet up over a few jars and plan some shooting days. If anyone in the essex area fancies it(or anywhere else local) then get some posts on and we'll arrange a meet......A pub for an informal PI** up would be a good starter

No mackems allowed (being an exhiled Geordie as I am). - or chavs

Seeing that I got the ball rolling on this I reckon I should start the first of the suggestions.....as has been pointed out we may not all be clay shooters so I reckon a meet in a pub would be a good start. Also I reckon it is a good guess that people will need a bit of an advanced warning for a meet.....so may i start by suggesting a time date of friday the 23rd of March in the evening.....say 19.30......now for the venue.... I do enjoy a beer and to let the train driver do the work in getting me home.....so how about Shenfiled as a meeting point.....I do not have a clue as to what the pubs are like close to the station but if people are agreeable to the venue/date etc then I am sure I can do a forward recce and sort out a suitable venue.

Mind you if I was being totally selfish I would suggest Billericay.....good pubs....good curry houses/kebabs/chinese.....good transport routes....blah blah blah

Again these are only a suggestion so let the discussion begin.

I live half a mile from Shenfield station however meeting up first time at a shooting ground works best.

My local ground (Bush Farm) is 1.2 miles from Shenfield Station on the Rayleigh Road opposite the Saxtons garage - the Rayleigh road runs from Shenfield to Billericay.

Shooting there is Saturday mornings 10 am to 2 p.m.
