fortune
I put 1-1/4 oz of 5 up through a crow nest with a big squaker sitting on it on saturday afternoon on new piece of land. Son in law was waiting for second shot but I dont think the resident needed it. When we came back round an adult bird flew away.
hawkeye
We still have a few took my mate for a couple of hours yesterday and we ended up with around 60 between us. Most were flying, very few still on the nest but they were not going far from the nest.
berettadevon
Seems like ive missed out on timing for another big bag, ohwell i'll still pop up to the woodland and have a little look. Had a nice phone earlier from farmer telling me he cut the grass field that runs along side the woodland hmmmmmmmmmmmm fingers crossed they might be on that! Now, should i place a few decoys out in the field and hide in the woodland edge or is there a better method that other people us e?

Rooks live in community groups and are found together in groups. Crows on the other hand are generally are generally only found in single nests and solitary birds. Rooks mainly eat insects and stuff whereas crows kill a lot of nesting birds and can be seen feeding on road kill. Shoot the crows.

hoggysreels
Ive no probs there being a reasonable amount of various Corvids as part of a healthy eco-system... but they need reducing greatly .. on the other hand, ld like to see the grey eradicated totally, unrealistic l know, but all the same, ld like to see the grey gone for good ... cheers Edited May 14, 2014 by hoggysreels
Konnie
no about right second week in may is when I start nest blasting too early they get another chance, too late and I've missed them
berettadevon
I think the easiest way is to say: If it's part of the Corvid family SHOOT the ******!!! And If it's a pesky grey squirrel BLAST it off its sitting branch at the top of its tree!!! At least it will get a final meal of LEAD!!!
