Thanks Terry!

After much deliberation from his mother about the age at which children should start shooting, i was asked to take my 7 year old nephew for his first shooting lesson.

I spoke to Bakerboy and before you know it, his dad and i were down at the A1 Shooting Ground to meet up with Terry. His dad didnt want to put any pressure on the lad so it was left to Terry to run his lesson and get him hitting some static clays - and didnt he do well!

First off with a 9mm garden gun, he had a couple of misses and then got his eye in, and then onto a .410 where he was smashing clays like a pro.

More importantly, he had a grin from ear to ear and thoroughly enjoyed himself. So much so, he decided that he was going back next weekend to do some more - although his dad might have something to say about that!

A big thanks to Terry for making a young lads first shooting experience a great and enjoyable one, another youngster added to the ranks

Cheers Terry! Top man!

Glad to hear it went well Alistair. Terry is one of the good guys. As a matter of interest how tall is the lad and how close to 7 is he? Just thinking for my own son..

Also, that picture is literally screaming out for a caption comp!
