Satisfying couple of hours.

Recommended Posts

Went to see if i could get a few rabbits tonight.Got laid out looking towards where i saw a couple run into the hedge bottom.

Waited for about an hour before i got the first rabbit.

Then about fifteen minutes later i saw some branches moving on one of the bushes where i was shooting.

I heard the call and knew it was a magpie.

It took me five minutes before i could get a good shot and then it showed itself and was dispatched and stuck near the top of the bush.

I had just reloaded when another landed next to the dead magpie in the bush.

The second one fell to the floor after being shot.

It took me a while to find a stick long enough to prod the other magpie out of the bush and i decided to pack in and walk back to the van.

I got back to the van and had a look down the side of a hedge and saw another rabbit and shot it.

Put the rifle on the bonnet while i put my gear in the back.

Went for the rifle and could see another rabbit 50yds down the track and got that as well.

I was pleased to see around 50 pigeons on the peas that are just about an inch high when i went down the farm drive.

So i might get a bit of pigeon shooting done there as well.

Ended up with three rabbits and two magpies.
