superspark
Firstly if someone is injured by fencing with nails ore any other sharp objects like glass or similar you could be prosecuted. I believe everyone deserves a fare chance by giving them a warning. If the land is owned by you and you have the sporting rights on it then these little ******* are committing armed trespass and can be arrested for their troubles. Along with this they can also lose their sgc and or fac into the bargain. If you have warned them and they continue to cross over call the police that armed trespass is taken place on your land. They have a duty to attend. If they are not caught, set up a trail come with time/date stamp abilities which will record them by sensor activation. This you can use as evidence of trespass. Don't forget to put signs up "trespassers will be prosecuted. If they still come and you prossicute them then there are more dumb than they look and deserve everthing that happens to them. scotslad
I always hate when a barb is steepled on top of fence posts, does make it more ackward to climb. Like everyone has said have a word with the neighbouring farmer (doubt will do any good thou) and a sign where they cross. 80yd is a long way of they're boundry, when i started reading thought they were standing on the fence type thing and shooting ur ducks. They have had plenty of warnings so police is only way to go if u can get other evidence/photo's even better. Wot i like to do at various places on my shoot is smooth of any wet areas/paths so u can see any footprints, depending on the ground but either in ur butts or path to them so u can see any unusual footprints, at releasing time i know most of any boys that help me footprint, not unusual if they were a different boot for me to phone them to check it's them

Underdog
Sounds like a good spot to empty bags of dog poo or a few buckets of rabbit guts
dadioles
Some good advice there. At the moment you are the good guy and they are the bad guys. Follow some of the advice given here though and you will have turned things around so that you are now the bad guy. You have to play this absolutely straight. Put up signs as suggested. If they knock them down that is criminal damage. Forget any ideas about nails, grease or anything else. Have you got a detailed map that clearly, beyond any doubt, shows the boundary and who has permission for what? Make a copy of it and send it to your neighbour explaining what has been happening and that it has to stop immediately. That has set the rules out nice and clearly. If you have a smart phone, take pictures and record conversations if you meet the offenders. But make sure you are whiter than white, don't get into a slanging match. They may be clever enough to wind you up and they may be recording the conversation. When they play their version to the police it could make you look like the bad guy. Two of them, one of you. You have to be so careful not to put a foot wrong. If, after you have given them the letter, they still trespass. Let the police know what is happening and give them a copy of the letter and map. It will then be on record. Next time they trespass, ring the police immediately and report the offence. You may or may not get a response depending on what mood they are in or how busy they are. Keep a written note of everything, dates, times, the lot. Don't rely on memory. If push comes to shove and it came to court, the cards will be stacked in your favour. Good luck. scotslad
Meant to say might be worth getting the shooting rights on paper to ur pond incase they others decide to offer a fat wa of cash just to p *ss u off. No matter how nice the landowner sometimes money talks unfortunately, and some folk have no morals when it comes to shooting and getting new ground. Underdog
Brambles, that's what you want, pick a load of blackberrie next September and sow them there...knettle seed too. How about a spot of hedge laying! Personally I would not involve the police...they won't care a jot!
Berettacocker
Shooting your ducks as they fly over their ground would rile me, but pitching up round your pond, I know what I'd like to do!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
HDAV
Just phone plod.its armed tresspass ther for they will ,could lose sgc . Trailcam, if they turn up on your land phone plod "armed trespass" is a criminal offence not civil, loss of SGC If they have one very likely.
