Pykie
Here is some footage from a day at the end of February on some maize game crops with my Armsan 28 gauge semi auto. As you can see the sun was directly in front of me but this was where the corvids wanted to feed. Filmed with a Contour head camera. Hope you enjoy! My brother turned up at the end to help add to the talley but I had 96 on my clicker to my new small gauge at the end of the day http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UPgyaNzYAlI

retromlc
that was good shooting, what sort of adverage range were they at?
fenboy
I think that suitably dispels the myth that you need heavy loads and big shot to kill crows !
Pykie
that was good shooting, what sort of adverage range were they at? The first dozen or so I didn't film as I thought the sun would mess up the camera footage too much and let them come in really close. Then I gradually extended my range out and soon was taking on, and hitting, the same distance I would shoot them with a 12 bore
motty
Very good. I like the way you were selective in your shooting and didn't just blaze into anything that came near. I too am a firm believer that small shot is plenty good enough on crows.

pete1dart
Good shooting on the corvids. Lovely little spot there looking down towards the river. I'm hoping to get down there soon to give him a hand with the birds.
