On my daily jaunt down to the village , i pulled over and got the glasses out and had a watch on the barley...aaannnddd...........the birds have turned up at last on my patch.. :yahoo: .not in huge numbers, but flightlines are developing and birds are dropping into the barley in 2's and 3's :whistling:

have to cut the grass in the morning :/ and if the afternoon is ok i might dust off the auto and nets and stuff ...and set up...if i get 1/2 a doz i will be chuffed to bits

watch this space....(having done this post i hope i havnt given the afternoon "the kiss of death" ! )

and i will post pics to prove birds do excist in my neck of the woods

I don't know if anyone on this forum shoots near the Hunstanton area, but I saw many hundreds of pigeons dropping in on some wheat in Old Hunstanton and almost as many on some holes in some barley at Heacham. Both fields are easily visible on the A149.

had the wheat gone down or were the birds dropping on to it and pushing it down..........all the wheat around here is all straight up birds are not interested in it...only touching the barley..

Not too sure, but the wires across the field were full and pigeons were everywhere. Every day I see more and more pigeons on the cereals.
