NickB65
I have a Freelander 2 on an 07 plate that has just done 130,000 and is due a service and although I am sure Kwik Fit are good I think it is time it went to someone who knows a little more about 4x4 but who is also honest. Can anyone recommend a good honest garage who will not look at the mileage a decide what needs to be done but will look at the car and the condition it is in? ozzy518
I use Jaggard brothers in Fordham. All my cars go there, always been very fair and honest.

NickB65
Thanks peeps - I ended up going to WFL in Oakington. They service and MOT the horse lorry and a full service came to £225 inc VAT which was a cracking price. Many garages look at the mileage and go straight for the BIG SERVICE but Bob checked it over and said all was fine with just a standard service. Cracking customer service and a job very well done. Mentalmac
It's always a good deal until a cam belt snaps whilst out. Not being belligerent or anything, but my neighbour was in same situation and she kept just getting car serviced cheaply and then cam belt snapped - total loss of car. (Your's might have been changed recently I wouldn't know, so not causing a argument or anything please don't assume I am being a derrière, I just wanted to highlight this as it's quite a problem if left). secret-squirrel
It's always a good deal until a cam belt snaps whilst out. ). I try to follow this in life as best I can """Buy cheap buy twice "". And ""something that seems too good to be true , it probably is "" Let's hope it doesn't snap or you will be kicking yourself for a new at a guess £3000 + engine

Sounds reasonable Nick is that the garage on the cross roads?
NickB65
Sounds reasonable Nick is that the garage on the cross roads? No they are on the road to Oakington from the main road on the left hand side - they are a breakdown specialist and service a lot of the grifters, dustcarts and other vehicles for the council. I take peoples point and appreciate the warning and will ask Bob to check the cam belt when it has an MOT in Oct :-)

Just keep an eye, cam belts on expensive engined cars are really worth changing when they are due. My neighbour bought a Peogeuot 307 second hand for a great price, 3 weeks later it was parked in our car port with snapped cam belt. They luckily managed to get help funding it through Peugeot but were lucky.
