motty
I have picked up a new Mossberg moderated .410 pump. I have been advised to use fibre wad only, though there is no mention of this in the manual. What do you lads recommend? Are plastic wads really that dodgy? Fisheruk
I used plastic wads in my single shot hushpower, no problem.

fruity
I was told if plastic wads are used to check for blockages/obstructions after each shot

motty
I have yet to find fibre subs in 410 so your rather stuck with plastic. I've been using plastic without problem! I bought some 3" Eley 'extra long' shells that are subsonic fibres, 18gm 6. I want to use up all the plastic wad shells i have.
kent
I bought some 3" Eley 'extra long' shells that are subsonic fibres, 18gm 6. I want to use up all the plastic wad shells i have. I use these in the full speed version, I wouldn't mind knowing if they actually turn subsonic in a ported gun like yours. Any road up they work real well on quarry and have just got a few in no7 so far these have only met one stoat called to within 20 ft so no great test
tigger got stichs
have been told recommend fibres wads but can use plastic at own risk ie check for blockages after every shot no probs with a single but a pump will be a pain I should imagine
HW682
As most people are saying... when I bought mine they specified fibre only, but now they have changed http://www.saddleryandgunroom.co.uk/Gunroom/hushpower/Hushpower%20Maintenance%20and%20Cleaning.pdf "felt recommended, be extra vigilant with plastic"
