mellors
Hi everybody as promised report on hypaflaps' Decided to collect em thursday morning and go out on wills patch to try em out. took 2 hyperflaps and six silosox 3 headup 3head down. Set up by 1015 by 1230 42 birds in the bag. then very slow till 3pm so packed up with 54pigeon for 68 shots. then fast return to wills place to get another 6 decoys. can only put one word for them. INCREDABLE Would suggest obtaining some asap. Or at least have a go with somebodys. All birds that came onto the field came straight to em fully commited. Had there been more guns i think we could have had tremedous day. When you get some it might be agood idea to have handy the number of a cartridge dealer that delivers. the hitman
I tried my sillosocks again today and shot 13 between 3 and 4.30pm .All the pigeons are in huge flocks otherwise i would have had more , they came to the decoys with no hesitation , sometimes 100+ A wonderful sight , but i cant wait to try the sillosocks on drillings when the flocks break up. Had em out yesterday on drilled barley. Set up on 30 acre field didn,t expect a lot very little wind. Had birds coming straight at em 6ft off the ground from all over. flight just died 2.30ish. picked up 93. think they found another field mile or so away. Guess where i,m going t,day. motor loaded batteries charged fingers crossed. Has anyone found 16gauge 25gramme lyvale fibre at resonable price . Also found it difficult to find something to carry hyperflaps in. Am trying some 6in plastic tube t,day. .

What quite a few of the boys have done with their Hypa Flaps/Sillosocks is to go down the plumbers merchant and buy a 2 foot length of approximately 10 inch diameter plastic tube (water pipe). The Plumbers merchants should also be able to make suitable end caps for the tube as well if you ask 'em nicely. Simply stow the Hypas in your tubing and screw the end cap on. Sorted. The benefit of transporting them in a tube also allows you to stow the spring steel rods and your carbon spars for Hypa Flaps all in one unit. If you wanted to finish the job off properly then a quick visit to the scrapyard, cut out an old seat belt and then rivet/glue/screw the seatbelt onto each end of your storage tube so that it makes a sling, throw the whole lot on your back and off you go. Hope that helps.

Suffolk shooter
Cheeky I know as members of PW we get a discount, but looking at the website what sort of numbers are we talking baout in terms of discount for bulk orders? I was thinking equal number of heads up and down deeks, but just wondered what sort of number this would have to be ordered in? SS

Price drops to £3.50 This seems to be proving quite popular. Quite a few people are ordering 30-40 of the Sillos (mixed of 50:50 Head up and Head down) and I think the reason for this is because Sillosocks are so light people are now wanting to take more decoys so they can have a bigger spread, which is obviously better in terms of pulling power. Suffolk shooter
Cheers Will, Does this mean that if we order 20+ we get it for £3.50 each and then the PW discount as well? SS

Will Beasley
Cheers Will, Does this mean that if we order 20+ we get it for £3.50 each and then the PW discount as well? SS Bloody hell. We cant do TWO discounts!! You can either have one of the two discounts, either 5% under £100 purchase or 10% over £100 or you can order 20 plus and then get the discounted rate of £3.50. Not BOTH!! By the way cheers for the PM, I might take you up on it, need to speak to 'er in doors to get permission though. SS Hawkeye, Us Southerners can be as tight as Northerners when the mood takes us. OK lets just say it like this: Order under 20 Sillosocks and your normal PW discount applies. Order over 20 and we drop the price to £3.50 but you then dont get the PW discount. Swings and Roundabouts really. There are no discounts on Hypa Flaps whatsoever. The introductory prices on all Sillosocks and Hypa Flaps end April 1st 2007, so you've got another month to order some and the low prices.
