wildfowler.250
Looking for some advice. Few of my friends were thinking about booking a sea fishing trip for the day. Ideally in nearer to glasgow area,(west coast) but could easily travel for somewhere good. There's about 8-10 of us which could be a problem. Has anyone on here got any recommendations of someone to go with? In truth, if they're catching some mackerel I'm sure they'd be happy.. If anyone has any previous experiences or recommendations it would be greatly appreciated
KFC
You'll find all you need here and, in the boat section, you'll find plenty of charter boats and last minute spaces. http://www.worldseafishing.com/forums/ Hope you enjoy, can't beat fish fresh out of the sea. My buddy and I go a couple of times a year on the Enterprise out of West Mersea, essex.

All the charter boats I've been on can easily handle 8-10 people so you shoul dbe OK there as long as you book.
Mark L
Head up the east coast ,Arbroath area some good boats leave from there and some great cod fishing in that area, I fish that whole coast in the summer from my kayak and from the shore in the winter time it can be fantastic fishing at times. There also seems to be a better stamp of mackerel on the east coast the west coast are smaller again this year!!!

Is there any specific charters you guys would recommend? Would appreciate it! Thanks!
Mark L
To be honest I think they will all be the pretty much the same, the fishing on that coast can be great so no matter who you go out with you will get into some fish.

Lord Geordie
I have fished the shore at Kirkudbright before on a few occasions, Never blanked! Manxmans rock it's called. Cracking pollack, Mackrell fight well and the dog fish are good sport there too! Not sure on boats as never bobbed on the west coast! henry d
I would recommend Alec Smith here http://www.sea-angling.net/angling.html and would also recommend "Ultimate Predator" as it is more stable and fast especially getting out to the Bell Rock.
