AVB
Started off as an annoying cough two weeks ago. Now been lad up for 5 days. Haven't felt this bad since Dengue Fever. Antibiotics and inhalers don't seem to work. Mind you the powerful cough inhibittor I am on really knocks you out. Any ideas how long is this likely to go on for? kyska
It can be chronic, rest, lots of fluids. Do you asthma?
AVB
It can be chronic, rest, lots of fluids. Do you asthma? No not asthmatic. Ironically I was running for Asthma UK in the GNR next month. However I will have to pull out of that now as this has really hit my training. aris
Take it easy - bronchitis can lead to much worse if you don't rest.

Zapp
I had it a few times when I used to smoke - it was eventually one of the main reason I stopped. The only thing that worked for me was rest and time, sorry.

kyska
which cough inhibittor are you using , cant find anything that goodMy guess would be anti histamines or more likely a dextromethorphan type drug, maybe a codeine based cough suppressant, all can make you feel a little odd. AVB, rest, keep on the drugs. You'll be right Edited August 12, 2014 by kyska

Yup, but give them a chance, it sounds like only 5 days worth have been taken. Edited August 12, 2014 by kyska
AVB
which cough inhibittor are you using , cant find anything that good It is Codine based. Originally Pholcodine (over the counter) but then doc gave me a stronger prescription based version. I am not used to taking it easy and am rarely off work due to sickness. But couldn't work through this.
