DerbyshireDale.
Just in case any body is considering purchasing a "Terror Choke" and like myself could'nt get a used one through advertising, this may be of interest to you?...I placed an order / paid for a "Gaep 10g spinner" on the 7th Aug in the UK and also placed an order on the 8th Aug with "Wad Wizard" in the USA for a 10g .720 "Terror choke" and they both arrived this morning!!......how can the one in the Uk take a Day longer?...."Horse & cart"?...dont be put off ordering from the states, they seem to be on the Ball where delivery is concerned. atb...Dale. Tim Kelly
The UK one was probably ordered from America as well, then forwarded to you! Be interested to see whether the wad stripper choke makes any significant difference over a conventional choke. If you pattern test them I'd love to see the results. kent
Because one came from a guy working part time on his own in servicing a very small market and the other came from a company with large warehousing, dispatch dept etc. servicing a vast market perhaps? figgy
It's wad retarding choke, slows the wad a fraction to let the shot leave in a short string. Looking at the website the terror chokes .675 and the.720 are sold as wad wizard supreme chokes,so two different ones, seems a bit odd to market them as two different tubes when it seems its only the constriction that differs. Also says 1 & 2 shot through the .675 bb & bbb will bulge them, better to use the wad wizard for the big shot. Sure one of the wildfowlers on here puts big size shot through his .675 tube. Been told that all chokes will stretch eventually putting big steel loads through them, even aftermarket chokes designed for them. DerbyshireDale.
Because one came from a guy working part time on his own in servicing a very small market and the other came from a company with large warehousing, dispatch dept etc. servicing a vast market perhaps? Feasible but incorrect as it happens? I received an e-mail from the Uk firm owner appologising for the apparent slow delivery time as he'd forgot to post it when it was ordered due to a country fair and when it was popped in the post it only took 2 Days to arrive. So one company was more efficient than the other...I think thats fair to say. atb...Dale.
DerbyshireDale.
It isn't a wad stripper choke. The Terror choke is'nt a "Wad retarder/stripper" as Motty says, that type is actually called a "Wad Wizzard" one of which I purchased for the 12G, inside the choke there are 4 distinct "raised lugs" which are meant to retard the plaswad by slowing it as it leaves the barrel, which is claimed, allows for a shorter shot-string allowing more pellets to strike the target!...where as the "Terror Choke" is a constriction choke... ie- nominal Bore size for the 10G =.775 thou.... Terror Choke .720 = .55 thou constriction. hope this helps..atb...Dale.
motty
I will only put steel 1s and smaller through my .655 Terror (12g xtrema), fast BBs caused the choke to tighten around the threads. I am very confident, however, of putting BBs through my .705 Terror that I keep in my Browning gold 10. I have not used my Wad Wizard chokes since I bought the Terrors. I found the patterns were so much better with the Terrors.

I think they may have stopped making the ".705 10g Terror" Motty?...When I went on their site to order my choke, .720 was the only 10G one available to purchase, my mate "Shakin stevens" (Bob) wanted me to order one at the same time but like I said , there was no mention of one on offer? atb....Dale. I think you're right. I don't think they do the .655 for the Xtrema, either.
