ginge_afc
Anyone own one of these? what are they like? They cost around £2000 so might have to put some money aside for this one
richards0170
ha I am after the exact same gun, 32". the wood on them is very easy on the eye
SEshooter
A mate of mine has one. Don't really like the feel of it. His has a palm swell ( think that's what it is called) on it and It just don't feel comfortable. The action and finish are nice and he has had no problems with it. ginge_afc
I have used the B725 hunter and love it, was after this for a nice clay gun. like what richards said the wood is lovely
figgy
I've seen one and they are very nice, wood as good as a grade five on the one I seen. Figgy
ginge_afc
heard lots of bad things about the palm swell on the sporter versions though, going to have to try it first
Markbrowning
Palm swell seems marmite...... I happen to love mine on my B725. Pick up the hunter and sporter and see which you fancy. It's quite a large swell so maybe small hands don't like it?
richards0170
If you find one for £2000 let me know, can't find a 32" under £2300
alastair0903
I have had one for the last year now and have no problems to report . Palm swell is what really sold the gun to me , it just feels right
ginge_afc
I haven't even seen one with 32" barrels but lots of 28" or 30" for sale for around £2095. the teardrop also looks great!

SEshooter
That's the shop my mate got his from. Pretty good to deal with. I purchased a mk70 grade5 from them. Handled lots of guns and they had plenty of time for me.
ginge_afc
does anyone know what grade wood it is?
figgy
Depends some have grade three others I've see are grade five. In fact some have better wood than some grade fives. Just look for one you like as it's your opinion that matters. Figgy
richards0170
no help needed just an opinion, tomorrow i am going to buy one. but a question i was asked earlier. beretta 692 or b725 black edition? I know the wood on a 692 looks very plain compared to the
a303
I have one. Just over a month old and it's been away two weeks already for repairs under warranty. Having bit of a dispute with the dealer over it and browning seem very reluctant to help. At this rate it'll be the last Browning I ever own. Typically I get the Friday afternoon gun. Although it is lovely to shoot and fits well, it has fantastic quality wood but I think they are built to quite a low price and the quality isn't there. Chokes also shoot very open patterns in relation to how they are marked. Looking on guntrader this aft it looks like they have had a price hike in the last few days. a303
Personally from the 692's I've handled compared to my 725 black the 692 has a better finish and feels more quality in the hands. Buy whichever fits the best end of the day. Personally, I wish I'd waited and stumped up the extra cash for the 692 or a mint DT10.
chrispti
Just sold my black 725 for a 692. 725 is the equivalent of a silver pigeon 1. 692 is by far a better gun !!!! The black 725 has S3 on the side of the action which denotes the grade, g3. But some are much nicer than others .... Like mine was Edited August 28, 2014 by chrispti

Go for the DT10 everytime I think it feels better than the DT11, I like Berettas and keep picking up the DT11 and not picked up one yet that didn't feel like a lump of four by two in my hands. My son shot a fellas newish still got sticker on barrels 725 on Wednesday night and commented on the triggers being heavy and it didn't feel nice, asked how much they are and was stunned when I told him. It's not just Browning though as I think Beretta are same lately. Figgy
postie
I'm after a 692 there are big differences in wood from gun to gun local gun shop keeping his eye open for a dark stock for me Lot I looked at at the cla were very light in colour There are a few lovely stocks on a couple of guns on gunstar But there 30in I'm after a 32 I've tried both 725 and 692. Both shot well but for me the 692 was smooth and handled lovely Especially when going from low to high birds quickly Good luck with your choice hope you find what your looking for
a303
Mine has soured what should have been a pleasurable purchase of buying a brand spanking new gun. Along with the fuel cost of a 240 mile round trip. The quality is comparable to a silver pigeon. Forget the 725 and get a 692. You'll be much happier in the long run. Providing I get a refund under the sale of goods act I'll be on the look out for a 692 32'' with nice wood.
chrispti
The only downside to the 692 iv found, is there is a lot more cast than usual and the combs on the sporters are low.I'd recommend the adjustable stock version for the sporter.
