tonker
Just a quick question. Does it matter how many guns you keep in a cabinet? For an example :- 7 gun cabinet, guns top & tailed, holding say 9 guns. Or 2/3 gun cabinet same senario holding say 5 guns . (just asking the question as I don't know the answer)
Cawdor118
No, as long as they are secure.
spinach
I think more importantly it's what the FEO says your cabinet can hold. My cabinet being a three gun he said lets call it a five and when I asked why he said you'll see, and I did quite soon after. Though saying that when they do register that many guns to you I'm not sure what they do. John.
Cranfield
On his last visit my FEO asked how many guns my cabinet held , I said "eight" , he made a note of that and when I asked why, he said that would be the maximum amount of guns I would be allowed without a further inspection. He never actually checked that my cabinet could hold eight guns. My cabinet was constructed to hold five guns in the usual "barrel up" storage position, but it will hold eight guns if necessary. On a side issue, having a "peg board" fitting across the back of the cabinet, meaning that I can fit adjustable pegs to suit the size of my guns, is a great help in utilising cabinet space. Its surprising how the width of guns differs. Fixed gun supports can be limiting.
