Fuddster
Chaps, been out and about over the last two days and have located a field of freshly drilled winter wheat-there are enough birds flitting about so I'm going to give it a go tomorrow. Locally the stubbles are either well dormant or have been turned over. The 200 acres of beans I had high hopes for were harvested and turned over within just a few days. got to say, its seems an odd sort of time, as I'm seeing woodies mating all around as if were the height of summer but today I saw several largish flocks more akin to winter birds bothering the osr. will let you know how I get on tomorrow-looking to be set up from 10 til about 4.30pm. atb f. stuy
The beans still may come up trumps the beans on my patch have been turned over, and still loads of beans for the pigeon to glean.
birdsallpl
Plenty of beans still laying on our farms, just not that many birds still. A few more than previous months but still none to write about.
Fuddster
beans all properly turned over and getting drilled today. beans that have been left to re-shoot themselves had been good in the past but this year it seems a race to get things ploughed. f.
