Need a gun barrel safe hard tube

Hi gents,

My extended choke on my semi has knurled edges and sharp corners where the choke wrench would go. It doesn't slide into my gun case if i don't unzip it fully. I would like to be able to unzip it 1/3rd and slide it in, but it catches the fabric lining. I want a stiff tube that i can put in the end of the gun slip and let the barrel slide in and out.

Any suggestions? An empty kitchen roll tube is the right size, but not stiff enough. PVC pipe might work but i would be worried about marking up the camo barrel.

Thanks

Rick

Rick, the fabric tubes will be biggger than a kitchen roll tube, but until I get to work I cant measure one... Let you know later, and I'll bring one home with me tonight just in case you want it.

Mike.

Edit:

Or I'll sew you up a leather 'sleeve' to fit over the end of the barrel? That should slide into the slip nice and easily.

Mike
