Anyone a Spalding Wildfowler?

Myself and 3 friends have just joined, I wondered if anyone on here is a member?

Went for our first recce last week. I know the tide was wrong, but we wanted to see part at high tide. Turns out we parked in a local dogging car park and got checked out by the police on our return, thankfully we don't look like doggers apparently, so all was fine!

Just looking for someone to pass on gems of knowledge like that - forewarned is forearmed!!

Which car park where you in?

I am not a Spalding member, i belong to the better of the clubs that shoot that marsh

Hey Matt, just coz you weren't allowed in to Spalding, no need to be like that, Spalding likes to maintain its high standards in its membership. LOL.

Karlbird -

Hare and hounds is one access point, there are others, the most popular being just a short walk from Lawyers creek. Ive only been twice this year for a recce and to feed the mozzies. PM Oxfordfowler on here, he showed me the ropes last season. He's a real gent and very knowledgeable on the area.

The tide was much higher last night too konnie. Less experienced would or could have got awfully wet. As far as I'm aware there is only Oxford who seems willing to take anyone out from spalding club but I could be wrong. At least holbeach take new members on a minimum of 6 flights as part of the new membership rule. I still take some out who have been members quite some time

Hopefully the op can find some help somehow.

Thats a great rule to have, considering the potential dangers out there.

Oxford was kind enough to take me on a couple of trips, and was definitely a learning experience.

I would be happy to buddy up for safety sake or for the company, but that is it , as I am totally new to the game, I feel I have nothing to offer experience wise.

Nothing wrong with no experience. We all started there. Edited by ayano3
