Gunman
I had business in Rhyl on Monday and not being familiar with the town I decided to park as near to the place I was visiting or thought it was as I could .By sheer chance the first space I saw was directly out side a gunshop that I have never visited . The place was closed and I would not have had time to call any way as I had other appointments . Seem to recall it was owned by an odd ball called Gizzie and that it had been up for sale . Any one know what the status is at present as I will have to go back to Rhyl in a couple of weeks and is it worth calling ?
Westley
I think you may be referring to Reg Gizzi, who was the previous owner. I believe his Daughter continued to run the shop and may still. The shop is now known as Field Sport Equipe, their website says they are closed until 10.10.14, for holidays. Gordon R
Bought a Beretta there a couple of years ago. Mega cheap and decent people to deal with.
browning123
Reg Gizzi owned the shop for years until he sadly passed away, his wife ran it for a short time after his death but then sold to the chap who runs runs it now. The late Reg was an excellent clay pigeon shot and competed for Wales in his time, he taught me to shoot as a youngster, this was in the 60's, a lot of people disliked him because he was very outspoken - but I liked him! shoot and be safe
+1 Reg was a great chap, like b123, he took me out and showed me the ropes on clays after selling me my first gun. He didn't pussy foot around and called a spade a spade. Rip Reg. As for the shop now, I haven't visited there much and on the times I have the 2 chaps were not as welcoming or helpful as I expected (In my opinion). Having said that they have plenty of stock to choose from or look at.

Reg had a small shop prior to owning Fieldsports Equipe, if I remember rightly it was in Abbey Street in the early 70's - I remember taking a mate of mine there and he bought a brand new AYA No 2 from Reg for the great sum of £99.00 !!!
