wymberley
The pinned topic on this is locked so can't post there. Is there any worth in replacing the outdated 2006/2012 versions with the new current October 2014 one? HDAV
Would be a good idea a mod should be able to do so.
wymberley
Would be a good idea a mod should be able to do so. I thought so too, but it seems that we're wrong. Never mind.

Have either of you two actually PMd your suggestion to any of the Moderators? Or have just just hoped that one of them might read this thread and action your request! wymberley
Have informed the moderating team. Good man! The topic has been viewed 221 times to date, but only 2 people think it's worth it so one shouldn't be too surprised if we're told it isn't worth the effort. HDAV
I am somewhat concerned by the new guidance notes. 1.10. What happens to the firearms in the event of the death of the owner? In the event of the death of a certificate holder the person inheriting the effects must surrender or declare the weapons to the police or a registered firearms dealer. Failure to do so would result in the inheritor being in breach of the law by having the firearms in their possession; it is the responsibility of the inheritor to find out whether firearms are part of the deceased effects. Registered firearms dealers will be able to advise on the value of the items and how best to proceed in accordance with the inheritor’s wishes. Options include applying for a firearms licence, selling/transferring the firearm (to a museum or collector) or destroying it. NO mention of section 7 wrongly making people think they should hand them over to the police... And I only got as far as page 3...
