taxidermy dave
I cant find any pigeons anywhere at the minute i went and checked the farms i got permission on, none, i even had a look at the field that was blue with them last week and there was one crow and a rabbit on it!I then decided to go for a drive to see if i could see any and maybe get permission to shoot them, well 150 miles in a circle later and i didnt see a single bird on anything not even the rape,so a day wasted and a small fortune in diesel :o anyone wanna buy all my pigeon shooting gear???!!!! .Unless someone wants to take me out for the day in exchange for a day when there on the barley and that in the summer?(worth a try ! ) dave

pin
Pin I noticed that all the pigeon I cropped from the weekend were either empty or had acorns, what did you find ? They are about but you gotta look for em SS Half a dozen completely empty, and I would have to say didn't look over plump One was stuffed full of rape, the other couple had acorns. Highlander
They are there on the rape BUT it's mostly well grown by now and unless you sit and watch for birds in flight droping in you won't see the birds. It's Archies old tip...if you want to find pigeons look in the air NOT on the ground!
